What a great day! Once again many thanks to everyone at IV for helping to organise the event and those who travelled to Leicester for the day. Brighton was our furthest afield- great effort Andrew & Ginny!
The day was notably special for me, as this was the first time one of the dentists attending was a former student I had taught in Plymouth.Another Andrew, this time from Wigan, made the trip down and it is fantastic to see how well he is doing since graduating 3 years ago.
Yet again everybody on the course showed excellent skills and it is impressive to see such high standards. Again the four core principles of composites provided for much discussion and some great questions were being fired out. The day went really quickly and we almost ran out of time on the posterior hands on component. Fear not though- I know lots of you have been asking for a posterior day, and one is now booking for February in Exeter.

“I really liked the way Chris just said it as it was. It really helped me understand how to improve"
“Great day. Lots of tips. Thanks!"
Thank you to Georgie and Laurie for putting on a fantastic day in Leicester for this course. The venue was at Ivoclar Vivadent's UK headquarters and the facilities were amazing. We had a great day again and everyone really got the 4 core principles of composites which is great. Whenever people "get it" you know they are going to change massively in their clinical dentistry, and as an educator this is great to see. I was really impressed with the travelling that some delegates did- London and Stafford!! Well done Jason and Flora- hope the trips back weren't as arduous as you were expecting. All up another great day!

“Fantastic day Chris, thanks so much!”
“This course is to be recommended to everyone who wants to do composites properly. Chris broke it all down in bite size chunks and made sense of it all. I am 100% more confident now.”
What another really great evening with Ben and Ally from Ivoclar and all the chaps at CBC Labs in Thornbury, Bristol. The weather was really hot and well done to all the delegates for managing to stay awake after such a great dinner and with the heat!
Again really great questions were fired out and I have to say some wonderful peer group interaction. For all those there I posted the cheat sheets as discussed so if you need anything else please post a message on the link to the left of the page.

Today I travelled to Barts Hospital in London for the composite days hands on course, and WOW- what an amazing new building! It is a huge difference to the old one- for all of those that remember the old one- go visit the new one! It was a terrific day yet again and loads of really great topics were being discussed, especially the curing lights! Well done to David for running down and getting all the lights from clinic- interesting results. Swee has to win the precision on composite build ups- sorry Janice, but you were a close second. Thank you so much to Amanda, Ivoclar and Janice from the paediatric department for inviting me over for the day. It was great fun and I am glad everyone got a lot out of it. Remember- ITS EASY!!

What a great bunch of dentists! All you guys and girls who came along were fantastic. The questions that were being fired out showed that the group really knew their stuff and some fantastic tips were being shared by everyone. I love these events when I come away with lots of great ideas as well so thanks to all who came down. Again, a huge thanks to Ben, Ivoclar Vivadent and Mike and Paul from CBC dental Laboratories for putting on the event. I understand that due to the oversubscription with this event Mike is organising another soon.

“Great course. Chris explained it in an understandable way and I came away with loads of great tips. Thanks”
“I was worried about using the e-max system, but now I know what to look for can’t wait to get going- I even have a big case lined up!”
Another fantastic day, and a big thanks to Ivoclar Vivadent and Hague Dental for putting on the event. All those attending got heaps out of the day and thanks to Dave from IV giving exceptional deals on the Bluephase lights nearly all of us ended up going home with one including me! Following requests from everyone, I have done a 2 page summary sheet of all the major points covered. This was e-mailed to all, but of you didn’t get it please let me know and I will forward another one to you.
Some great comments again:
“Best course I've been on for ages. I'd happily do a part 2 if you did one”
“Great course, more of them please!”
“Chris was fantastic. He is a "real" dentist and a wonderful teacher”
What a great day, and all those attending made it such an enjoyable time. A big thanks to Gary for being able to get through the floods – what determination! There was also a practice manager, Caz, who came along to sit in and listen before going shopping and ended up staying all day. Hopefully Sushill and Caz are now implementing those things we were discussing as there were some great ideas coming form the group. A big thank you to Ben from Ivoclar Vivadent , and also to IV for sponsoring the event without whom it would not have been possible.
