Chris completed training recently in an amazing new product which will make our patients smile – literally! The 6 Month Smiles programme transforms the way that cosmetic dentistry can be provided and is aimed at giving you straight teeth in 6 months without the hassle. All the team are really excited about this new treatment. Some team members are so excited that they have already started their new 6 Month Smile plan! –Helen!!
We are excited to introduce two new members to our team Tina Hampton and Tamsin Williams.
Tina and Tamsin are joining us under a 18mth apprenticeship scheme. They will be working to gain their NVQ/VRQ in Dental Nurse Training.
Tina is 19 years of age and lives in Illogan. Tina has had 2 years experience in Customer Service and is looking forward to putting her skills into practise whilst gaining new ones. Tina Likes to keep active and enjoys dancing and swimming on her days off
Tamsin is 18 years of age and joins us from Helston. Tamsin has completed her A Levels and is very much looking forward to starting her 18mth apprenticeship and furthering her skills and knowledge as a dental nurse. In Tamsin spare time she enjoys surfing, playing the guitar and walking her new puppy.
At last, teeth straightening that's quick and has great results!" This is a remark made by many of my patients on the Inman Aligner. This appliance can straighten crooked or crowded teeth in a matter of weeks and is fast becoming the choice for improving your smile.
I have been using the Inman for a while and recently it has become really popular. Those who know me, know that I am always going to courses and conferences so as to keep up to date with the latest ideas and treatments for my patients. On one of these courses a couple of months ago I was discussing the latest advancements for more complex treatments with colleagues. On my return to Cornwall I discussed this with a couple of patients who had very crowded teeth and were looking at having to wear fixed braces for 18 to 24 months if they wanted their teeth straightened. We have just finished both of these cases and seen the end results which are amazing! The treatment time was in weeks and the results far exceeded the patient's expectations. All of us are delighted with the end results and it just goes to show what is possible these days with minimal intervention and a bit of know how!
This year we have decided to support two charities. A small Nepalese project, and the RNLI.
Based in Perranporth, we have many connections with those involved in some way with the beach and the sea. The two miles of golden sands are a huge asset to our town and the RNLI lifeguards do a tremendous job every year in keeping the beach and the sea safe for all who visit. The RNLI relies on charitable donations in order to operate and this is a charity we are proud to support.
We have also decided to support a small charitable project based near Kathmandu in Nepal. The project raises funds to help provide much needed healthcare and essential resources to the children and villagers in a small remote region of Nepal. The people in this area have no access to dental care and so later on this year a small team of us are going to travel to the village to provide free dental treatment to the residents. We are raising funds for this project in combination with the Kathmandu Palace Restaurant in Truro who already actively help this very poor and remote community.
We intend to have various fund raising events throughout the year and will keep you posted here. We would really welcome your support or sponsorship for these very worthwhile causes.
